SPARK (Spoken Practice and Real Knowledge )

 Our “SPARK” Project idea has appeared, while we were working on the Comenius Project. In Comenius Project, we had to translate three of our Turkish tales to English and than we had to translate our partner’s 12 tales to Turkish. We did it with our students. Our students played the tales on the stage as English and Turkish. They were very happy while they were translating the stories. We chose the students by doing written and oral exams and also according to their success in Dyned and SBS exams so they studied very hard to their lessons. Infact our aim was to do our Comenius Project in a best way but when we looked at the exams result we awared that our students improved their English in a short time because they wanted to go abroad. We took 6 students to the Hungary and Czech Republic. In Chesky Tesin our students did the school presentation in English. And also the other students took the e-mail addresses, and they write e-mails to each other regularly that’s why they are more careful in the lessons. We noticed that by the help of translations and dramas their English improved and our quest liked very much. They told us their pronunciations were perfect. 21 students took part in dramas. 20 teachers of school took Course in the school. 3 of the our school teachers went to English Academy Course to speak English. Our 800 students use DYNED (Dynamic English) programme in the school. Shortly this “SPARK” Programme make the students more active.
